Visit Yorkshire! There’s no time like the present!

If you haven’t quite got around to visiting Yorkshire, you need to tick it off the to do list! Yorkshire is a fantastic place to visit and is well known for its Viking and Roman heritage. It’s a historic county in northern England and is full of exciting and breath-taking sights. From Norman castles and National Parks to medieval abbeys and Industrial Revolution-era cities, there’s so much to explore.
Heading into the North of Yorkshire is the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. In 1399, Harrogate became Royal property. Just east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Harrogate is host to many fabulous events that attracts thousands of people from all over the country! The Valley Gardens, Montpellier Quarter and the Royal Pump Room Museum are also fascinating places to visit with heaps of interesting history for you to unveil.
The Leeds International Film festival is one of the largest film festivals in England, outside of London. The film festival was founded in 1987 and is held at many different venues throughout Leeds, West Yorkshire. This takes place from the 1st to the 16th of November.
Another beautiful destination to visit in Yorkshire is the stunning city of York. It’s the perfect holiday destination for couples, the solo traveller and groups. Founded by the Romans, York is home to York Minster, a 13th century cathedral that is surrounded by medieval walls and Tudor houses. Its beautiful architecture will make you fall in love with the place as soon as you arrive. Visitors can enjoy tonnes of different attractions, museums, tours, restaurants, bars and historic buildings within the compact walled city.
The National Railway museum is in the heart of York and tells the story of British rail transport and the impact it’s had on society. With breath-taking exhibitions, you can step on board a historic railway carriage and submerge yourself in the atmosphere of a First World War ambulance train.
