Tyddyn Du Touring Park is ideally located for exploring the coast between Caernarfon and Llandudno, the World Heritage Site of Conwy, Anglesey and the Snowdonia National Park; a perfect coast and mountains experience in Wales.
We have a choice of grass or hard standing pitches set along terraced tarmac roadways for you to enjoy the panoramic views to the Great Orme, Puffin Island and Anglesey.
Each pitch has 16A electric hook-up and convenient access to fresh water.
The 5-star facilities’ building is a showpiece for the site.
Care and attention to detail have been lavished on the facilities, with no expense spared to make it a truly deluxe facility that guests will find a pleasure to use.
The disabled suite has ramp entry with access by radar key.
You will also find a well-equipped utility/laundry room with commercial washing machine, tumble dryer and sinks for dishwashing.
Of course, there is a constant supply of hot water.
Tyddyn Du Touring Park is dog friendly; your four-legged companion will enjoy our exercise area.
For groceries and supplies, the Village convenience store is half a mile from the campsite or there are supermarkets around Conwy.
Butane and Propane gas is available on ‘site.
Penmaenmawr offers a choice of wining and dining including a popular chip shop.
The Gladstone pub-restaurant is adjacent to the caravan park.
Bus-stops on the main road enable guests travel to Conwy and other main towns without driving.
There’s an amazing choice of activities to enjoy in this part of North Wales.
A scenic path into Snowdonia National Park starts just behind Tyddyn Du Touring Park.
There are routes for the beginner or enthusiast with superb views towards Carneddau and Mount Snowdon.
You can walk to our ‘blue flag’ beach, one of the finest in North Wales, in 10-15 minutes, or stroll along the promenade.
If you enjoy the seaside, Llandudno is “Queen of the Welsh Resorts”.
It has a Victorian seafront, theatre and traditional seaside shops.
Llandudno pier is the longest in Wales.
Take the cable car onto the Great Orme for wonderful views across Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.
Conwy championship golf course is 4 miles or Penmaenmawr’s own delightful golf course is just 200 yds from Tyddyn Du Touring Park.
Fresh-water and sea angling, sailing and bowling are all nearby.
You can walk the walls of old Conwy town, World Heritage Site.
Visit its mighty 13th century castle and look down over ancient alleyways and the estuary it was built to defend.
Conwy’s picturesque quayside is home to an annual sailing festival.
30 minutes’ drive West along the coast takes you to the Menai Straits and Britannia Bridge crossing onto the scenic Island of Anglesey.
Anglesey features a dramatic coastal path, the Holy Island, RSPB reserves, many ancient monuments and Beaumaris Castle.
Further West, overlooking Anglesey across the Menai Strait, is the Royal Town of Caernarfon and its formidable fortress linked to the Princes of Wales since 1284.
Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible from Tyddyn Du Touring Park.
Its 3,000 peaks and 100 or more lakes provide numerous habitats for birds and wildlife.
Snowdonia is criss-crossed by ancient tracks, relics of bygone habitation and legend.
You can visit the new Mount Snowdon summit centre by Mount Snowdon Railway from Llanberris or tackle the 20 mile round trip on foot.
Whichever you choose, it will be an experience to savour as you relax back on to your pitch to watch another sunset over Conwy Bay.
