Pickering, North YorkshireOverbrook Caravan Park is a friendly, adult only caravan park on the outskirts of the picture-postcard village of Thornton-le-Dale in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
It is ideal for touring the Vale of Pickering, Newton Dale, Ryedale and the beautiful Yorkshire coastline from Scarborough to Whitby.
You will soon discover nothing is too much trouble for resident owners Natalie and Darren, and why so many of their guests return to Overbrook.
Our park and grounds are maintained to a high standard with colourful planted borders and raised beds adding to the natural beauty of the countryside around us.
Overbrook Caravan Park was previously awarded the Yorkshire in Bloom Gold Rose Award.
50 well-drained, hard standing pitches all have countryside views.
You can choose a regular size with space for an awning or a non-awning pitch.
From 2023 all pitches will have 16A metered electric hook-up and you are never more than 50yds from a water point.
Our toilet block is heated and spotlessly clean.
Showers are free with plenty of hot water with piped music throughout
Additional features are razor points for the men and one privacy cubicle for the ladies and a hair-dryer is provided.
We have a dish-washing area and a laundry room equipped with two coin operated washers and dryers plus ironing facilities.
WIFI is free and you can pick up tourist information and borrow books from the library near reception.
Shops are a short stroll into the picturesque village or 4 miles to the market town of Pickering.
Dogs on leads are welcome; there is a small dog exercise area on site and more comprehensive walking nearby.
We are open 11 months of the year so you can experience the North Yorkshire Moors and wildlife through the seasons.
During the year we see over 40 species of birds at Overbrook Caravan Park, including the wonderful sight of Kingfishers darting along the beck.
Thornton-le-Dale has a quaint, nostalgic feel with ancient market cross, stocks, thatched cottages and a beck flowing through the village.
It is perfect for a stroll and refreshment stop at one of the tea-rooms or country pubs.
You will soon be relaxed and eager to explore one of the most beautiful and uncrowded places in England.

Dalby Forest is just 3 miles from the caravan parkand a little further is lovely Newton Dale.
Watch steam trains climb through colourful heathers and forest on their way to Goathland; better known as Aidensfield in Yorkshire TV’s nostalgic drama Heartbeat.
Here, livestock roam freely over remote, rugged Yorkshire moors and crystal clear becks make their rocky descent into Eskdale.
Pickering and Helmsley are market towns for the hamlets that nestle in the dales.
Pickering, a few miles from the caravan park, is the main shopping centre with a 12th century castle.
It is the terminus of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which crosses 18 miles of moor to the pretty fishing harbour at Whitby, overlooked by its iconic cliff-top abbey.
Helmsley is a picturesque, historic town close to Rievaulx Abbey
Within 30 minutes, you can drive to the golden sands at Scarborough and Filey, Whitby or Sandsend
North of Scarborough the coastal route features dramatic headlands, high cliffs, hidden coves and abundant wildlife.
Robin Hood’s Bay is especially worth a visit.

It is a comfortable drive from the park or there is a regular bus service or you can jump on a train from Malton
