Surrounded by rolling farmland and woodlands, Longnor Wood Holiday Park is very peaceful, yet convenient for the many attractions and charming villages in the Peak District and Derbyshire.
Sam and James offer a warm welcome and a long list of guest facilities for you to relax, unwind and enjoy the ‘heart’ in the Derbyshire Peak District.
Caravan and motorhome pitches are spacious hard standings.
Choose a standard pitch with electric hook-up and TV connection or a fully serviced pitch with added individual water tap and grey water drain.
We do not charge extra for awnings and place picnic benches for you to sit out and enjoy the scenery.
Our heated facilities building houses showers and WC’s with individual privacy cubicles.
Showers are free.
Guest reviews refer to the facilities as some of the cleanest and nicest they have found on a touring caravan park.
A freezer and microwave is provided for guest use in the washing-up area and a fully equipped laundry.
You can obtain essential grocery, caravan items and gas from our on-site convenience shop or drive into Longnor village about a mile away.
There you will find a general store, Post Office, a selection of restaurants, real ale pubs and a fish and chip shop.
Longnor Wood Holiday Park is a dog-friendly caravan site with a 4 acre field for them to exercise.
You can exercise with badminton, putting and boules.
Conservation and protection of the wildlife around Longnor Wood Holiday Park is very important to us and we regularly win awards for friendly and helpful staff.

Longnor Wood Holiday Park is ideal for walking the Derbyshire Peak District, cycle trails, river dales and the Peak District towns and villages.
There’s also fishing and golf nearby.
Longnor village became famous from the TV series, ‘Peak Practice’, its cobbled square surrounded by traditional pubs, is the start of many scenic routes including the peaks of upper Dove Dale.
Close to the caravan park, the Tissington and High Peak trails are tracked cycle routes over open countryside with wonderful views from the bridges of the former railway.
The Monsal Trail follows the River Wye from Buxton to Bakewell crossing deep valleys on high viaducts over Millers Dale and Monsal Dale.
Subterranean waters create spectacular underground caverns, at Poole’s Cavern near Buxton and Peak and Speedwell Caverns at Castleton, which is also famous for its Blue John mines.
Each of the Derbyshire Peak towns and villages has individual characters, Flash, a few miles from Longnor, is the highest village in the Peak National Park.
Buxton is an elegant spa town, good for shopping and entertainment, whilst Bakewell is a quaint market town on the River Wye.
Further down the Dove valley is the resort town of Matlock Bath and the heights of Abraham.
Hadden Hall and Chatsworth House are within an hour’s drive.
