Our Parks Are Now Open & Welcoming Guests!
All our adult only touring parks are now open! We’re so happy to see people on pitches and smiling faces on our parks. We can only imagine how happy you must be to be able to get your ‘van on the road again!
Parks in England were permitted to reopen on 12 April. On the same day, Welsh parks which had reopened earlier on 27 March, could accept guests from outside Wales (For details of the reopening announcements, see our Coronavirus Updates.)
Update 17 May – reopening of communal buildings and facilities
Our parks are now allowed to open shower and toilet blocks, as well as restaurants, tea rooms, cafes, coffee shops, clubhouses and bistros! Step 3 of the roadmap out of COVID restrictions has gone ahead today.
Please be aware, however, that there are conditions for the reopening of shared facilities and they’re open to interpretation. Being independent businesses, our park teams have to apply these conditions in the best way for their individual parks.
Here are the type of rules that you may have to follow:
- Use your own onboard toilet, shower and washing facilities wherever possible in order to minimise the number of people in communal shower blocks
- Maintain social distancing at all times
- Wait outside if the building is full
- Use hand sanitiser on entering and leaving a building
- Clean sinks, toilets, handles and showers, etc. after use
- Leave doors and windows open to maximise ventilation
- Wear a mask when entering or leaving a communal building
- Take extra care not to leave any personal items behind
Different parks are likely to have different requirements because they all have different configurations for their communal buildings. Some toilets and showers are self-contained units, for example.
Whatever rules our individual parks put in place, we really appreciate your cooperation to help ensure they can run smoothly and keep their communal buildings open. Thank you.
About shared facilities (as of 22 February)
England
The initial announcement for English Parks (22 February) stated that shared facilities would be closed until 17 May. Four days before the opening date, however, on 8 April, the government issued new guidance that parks in England could open shared toilets (but not showers) if certain conditions are met.
As a result, different parks are taking different approaches, depending on the configuration of their facilities blocks, and whether or not they can meet the requirements. Please see the information below.
The Government needs to see favourable COVID data in order for Step 3 of the reopening process to go ahead on 17 May.
Wales
Welsh parks cannot open any facilities yet and are expecting to fully open on 17 May, although this will not be confirmed until 14 May.
