Tranquil Parks win top awards 2019-2020

It’s time to blow our trumpets! Our parks have once again received recognition for achieving the highest standards…

AA Caravan and Camping Awards 2019-2020

Parks that have won awards and achieved gold or platinum in the AA Pennant scheme were recently invited to an awards ceremony. The AA has graded around 700 sites by sending inspectors to visit each one and they have published the results in their latest Guide, now in its 52nd edition. Read about the AA awards here.

Two of our adult only touring parks have received major awards under this prestigious scheme:

Eye Kettleby Lakes – AA Campsite of the Year for England

Set in 150 acres of quiet Leicestershire countryside, Eye Kettleby Lakes has an onsite tearoom and clubhouse separated from the adult touring parks by large, mature fishing lakes which attract anglers from around the country.

Charoland Farm – Small Campsite of the Year

If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat, Charoland Farm is set on a small working farm in rural Lancashire. It’s welcoming, peaceful and the perfect spot to enjoy the countryside and wildlife.

Top 100 Sites 2020

This year we have 13 Tranquil Parks in the Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome Top 100!  These awards are based on a public vote, so we’d like to thank everyone who voted for a Tranquil Park.

‘Best Site Adults Only’ – Old Oaks Touring Camping and Glamping

This popular site near Glastonbury in Somerset is also Regional Winner for Avon, Somerset and Wiltshire. The park is praised for its immaculately landscaped pitches, cleanliness and facilities, which are described as ‘second to none’! There’s superb walking from the site with Glastonbury less than two miles away, while on site there’s fishing, a shop and all you could need for dogs. Find out more

‘Best Site Green’– Back of Beyond Touring Camping and Glamping

Regional Winner for Dorset, Back of Beyond, provides a haven for wildlife with 18 acres of woodland and two wildlife lakes on site. Their environmental work includes a massive planting project of thousands of native species of hedge whips around the pitches and glamping units. These new hedges, will not only provide more privacy for guests, but also maximise biodiversity on the park when they reach maturity. Find out more
