You don’t need a caravan, motorhome, camper van or tent to enjoy ourTranquil Parks! Around half our adult only touring parks also offer accommodation, which means that anyone can enjoy Tranquil Parks, whenever the parks are open – and some are open all year round!
There’s a wide range of accommodation to choose from – you’ll find everything from cottages and a motel to luxury glamping accommodation, static caravans, shepherd huts and cosy camping pods . Here’s an overview in case you want to book a holiday with friends or family while you’re touring, or if you just want to pack a bag, jump in the car and go. We’ve listed the parks from South to North.
What to expect when glamping
- For most parks, the accommodation is exclusively for adults over the age of 18, like the touring and camping areas. In some cases non-touring or non-camping areas might be also available to families.
- For some glamping options, be prepared to bring your own bedding, towels and tea towels.
- For basic camping pods you may also need to bring something to seep on plus your own camping equipment.
- Whatever type of accommodation you go for, expect high standards and warm welcome!

THE WEST COUNTRY
Dog friendly apartment and caravan at Killiwerris Touring Park, Cornwall
Killiwerris Touring Park near Truro has an annex and static caravan to rent. Both are dog friendly and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. This small, peaceful park is 1 mile from Chacewater village (connected by footpaths and bridleways) and 5 miles from Truro – find out more.
Glamping pods on Dartmoor at Woodland Springs Touring Park, Devon
The heated glamping pods at Woodland Springs Touring Park are carpeted, double glazed and have electric sockets with USB ports. You will need to bring your own camping equipment and use the park’s excellent shower block facilities, rated 5 Pennant Platinum by the AA. Wide choice of glamping at Back of Beyond Touring Camping & Glamping Park, Dorset
There are plenty of options for a romantic getaway at Back of Beyond Touring Camping & Glamping Park with 2 dog friendly shepherd huts with wood burners, a yurt with a wood burner, 2 dog friendly lodges, 3 large pods and a medium-sized pod which is also dog friendly. This 30-acre park is a peaceful base for exploring Bournemouth, Dorset and the New Forest, and is the ‘Best Site for Adults’ in Practical Caravan’s Top 100 Sites Guide for 4 years running! Luxury glamping at Old Oaks Touring Camping & Glamping Park, Somerset
Surrounded by countryside just outside Glastonbury, the multi-award winning, ever popular Old Oaks Touring, Camping & Glamping Park has a range of luxury glamping options. The park also has fishing on-site and food options 7 days a week including breakfast. Take a short stroll to mystical Glastonbury Tor or discover local nature walks and cycling routes to nearby attractions – find out more. Glamping options are:
- Luxury pet friendly Shepherd Huts, complete ensuite and one with its own private hot tub
- Unique and quirky Glamping Cabins with king-sized bed, mini fridge, kitchen basics and an under cover deck with tables, chairs and a camping stove. Fire pit, picnic bench and grassed area add to the experience and there are pet friendly options.

Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park luxury lodges
Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park has two modern luxury lodges situated at the edge of the park’s woodland area, ‘Fairswood’ nos. 1 and 2. Both have a large deck area to sit out on. Inside, the lodges have a spacious lounge with TV, dining table and chairs, a full size double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a shower room. Both are pet-free. This award-winning park is only 250 metres from Bishop Sutton village with shops and a pub, and only 800 metres from Chew Valley Lake. Wells Touring Park offers cottage, lodge and boat breaks
Nestled in the Somerset countryside, you can walk into the historic City of Wells from Wells Touring Park, an AA 5-Pennant Platinum park. There is a one-bedroom self-catering cottage on site with a king size bed (no smoking or pets), exclusive lodges and a boat moored at Brixham (Devon) where you can stay on board (but not drive off). Motel and glamping pods at Briarfields in Gloucestershire
In addition to the touring park, there’s a small, family-run motel and glamping pods at Briarfields Motel and Touring Park with 20 ensuite rooms, consisting of singles, doubles and twins, as well as rooms that sleep 3 and 4. The motel does not provide breakfast, but all the rooms contain a fridge, microwave, plus tea and coffee making facilities. The three insulated glamping pods set in a quiet corner are for guests who want to camp without having to deal with a tent. Built locally, the cosy pods include a fixed double bed or 2 single beds, bedside tables, electric sockets, lighting, a mini fridge, microwave and kettle, plus dining table and chairs. EAST ANGLIA
Large lakeside pods at Run Cottage Touring Park, Suffolk
The two luxury pods at Run Cottage Touring Park are well equipped with 4’6″ double beds, large leather sofas, TV & DVD player, a small fridge, crockery, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, a BBQ stand and outdoor furniture on decks overlooking a wildlife lake. They are not for pets, however. You will need to use the park’s shower/toilet block and washing up area which are only a short walk away. NEW glamping pods with fishing on your doorstep at Fields End Water Caravan Park, Lodges and Fishery, Cambridgeshire
The new ‘Waterside’ development at Fields End Water Caravan Park, Lodges & Fishery features luxury glamping pods just metres from the water’s edge. Three of these 4 new pods are dog friendly (check for size restrictions) and have underfloor heating. They’re also equipped with kitchenettes and ensuites (toilets and basins). WALES
Pods for camping and lodges for luxury at Daisy Bank Caravan Park, Powys
Set in stunning countryside between Churchstoke in Wales and Bishops Castle in Shropshire, the pods at Daisy Bank Caravan Park are the equivalent of a ‘wooden tent’. Suitable for 2 adults (and dogs), the pods contain the basics – lighting, double foldable mattress with protector, heater, carpet and a roller blind for the door – so you’ll need to bring your own camping equipment, minus the tent and mattress! Outside there’s a table, chairs and BBQ. Daisy Bank is open all year round, so the pods are insulated with sheep’s wool to keep you warm, cosy and dry. They’re close to the park’s heated, five-star facilities with individual shower rooms, vanity units and hair dryers.
You can also rent a lodge in the Lodge Park at Daisy Bank Caravan Park. The Daisy Bank Lodges provided a home-from-home experience, equipped with everything you need, including bedding and towels. The master bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite, the kitchen has a cooker and microwave and there’s also a TV and DVD player, plus french windows onto a deck you can sit out on with garden furniture and BBQ.
NEW and refurbished glamping accommodation at Yr Helig/The Willows, North Wales
Located in a peaceful corner of the Llŷn Peninsula, with stunning views to Snowdonia and over Cardigan Bay, there are new and upgraded accommodation options at Yr Helig/The Willows. Well behaved pets are welcome in each unit – find out more.
- ‘Llety’r Bugail’ is a brand new luxury shepherd’s hut fully kitted out with a kitchen, double bed, TV, fire, ensuite shower room and WC. Patio doors open onto your own outside space with garden furniture.
- The Willerby has stunning panoramic views across farmland to Snowdonia and Cardigan Bay from its deck and dining area. Refurbished for 2023, it has a separate living room, fully equipped kitchen and double bedroom with ensuite WC, plus a bathroom with a bath/shower.
- The Chillout Pod is a unique camping pod with a high dome roof and minimalist interior – use the park facilities.
Cae Cyd Holiday Cottage at Tyddyn Du Touring Park near Conwy and Llandudno
At Tyddyn Du Touring Park there’s a fabulous barn conversion called Cae Cyd Holiday Cottage. The 2-bedroom holiday cottage sleeps 4 adults, has spectacular coastal views. and has 5 stars from Visit Wales. Pets are not accepted. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor; one has a super king bed which can convert to twins, and there are 2 separate bathrooms. Upstairs is an open plan kitchen-dining-living room with a balcony, leather recliners, a log burner and a smart TV. Everything is provided, including bedding, kitchen equipment and outside furniture. WEST MIDLANDS
Uniquely vintage glamping and new holiday park at Cartref Caravan and Camping Site Shropshire
‘Sybil’ is a beautifully restored 1930s vintage caravan at Cartref Caravan and Camping Site. While keeping the aesthetic of the era, she has quality, up-to-date fittings and accessories. The kitchen gadgets include a Nespresso coffee maker, for example. Your private ensuite is a converted horse trailer called ‘Basil’, with wetroom finish, shower, toilet, basin, underfloor heating, bathrobes and Bluetooth speakers. EAST MIDLANDS
Rural glamping getaways at New Lodge Farm, Northamptonshire
Glamping pods and shepherd huts at New Lodge Farm offer 5-star luxury in a rural location in the heart of Rockingham Forest, just outside the village of Bulwick. The units contain an ensuite shower with basin and toilet, an equipped kitchenette, crockery and glasses, a full size double bed with bedding, a dining table and patio with firepit and furniture. Pets are not allowed. Overlooking the fields of this working livestock farm, the glamping accommodation provides a secluded location for a restful stay. Adult only glamping and family friendly accommodation at Eye Kettleby Lakes, Leicestershire
Eye Kettleby Lakes is an extensive park covering 150 acres with 9 coarse fishing lakes, 2 specimen carp lakes, a clubhouse and tea room. It has won several national awards, most recently Overall Winner in the Top 100 Sites 2023. Open all year, there are different types of accommodation on offer in different sections of the park. There are 8 adult only glamping pods overlooking the countryside and containing everything you need for a short break, including fully fitted kitchenette, ensuite shower room, fixed double bed and a lounge area with a TV and DVD player. Four of the sepods are dog friendly.
There are also 12 luxury log cabins made from Scandinavian logs, graded 4 and 5 star with individual outdoor hot tubs and private indoor saunas. Each one is slightly different; 3 are pet friendly and 6 are set next to the lake. While the touring park and glamping pod areas are strictly adult only, families can stay in the lodges that take more than two people. Families can also stay in the new farmhouse, ‘Woodland View’, which sleeps up to 8. Long Acres Holiday Cottage, Old Leake, Boston
This well presented holiday bungalow at Long Acres Touring Park in Lincolnshire sleeps up to 3 guests and well behaved dogs are welcome. It’s in a private location on the edge of Long Acres Touring Park. Minimum booking is for one week, with a Saturday changeover. Longnor Wood exclusively adult holiday park, Peak District, Derbyshire
Longnor Wood Holiday Park has 3 1-bedroom lodges and a 2-bedroom lodge with hot tubs in a peaceful area of the holiday park. Some lodges are dog friendly although there may be an extra charge. They are furnished to a high standard and well equipped with TV and a large decking area with a covered private outdoor hot tub. Another option is static caravans with hot tubs, some of which are dog friendly. These units are perfect for 2 adults and come fully equipped with a spacious open plan living area and outside decking. The glamping pods (without hot tubs) include bedding and towels, an ensuite shower room, a small kitchenette, TV, and underfloor heating. One of the pods is dog friendly. NEW luxury lakeside glamping at Grooby’s Pit, near Skegness
Grooby’s Pit has two luxury glamping options with exceptional views of the 2-acres coarse fishing lake. Both offer a private place to while away your time watching the ducks, geese and occasional kingfisher. New for 2023 is ‘Squirrel Hideaway’, a shepherd hut with a patio area and its own private fishing peg. With a well-equipped kitchen and ensuite shower room, it has everything you need for a relaxing stay and small to medium-sized dogs are also welcome. It has a bespoke settee looking out over the lake that turns into a double bed.
Perched on the edge of the same lake is ‘Kingfisher Lookout’ with a split level deck. This also has a well equipped open plan living area with a seating area that converts into a double bed. This deluxe camping pod is not suitable for pets and has a private hot tub tucked away to the side. You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows, towels and tea towels to either of the Grooby’s Pit glamping units.
Cosy glamping all year round at Wolds View Country Park, Caistor, Lincolnshire
For an effortless escape at any time of year, Wolds View Touring Park has 9 comfortable, heated pods. Three are dog friendly and one is fully wheelchair accessible. They all have a double bed or twin beds, TV, WiFi access, BBQ and outside furniture. There’s also a kettle, fridge microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. You’ll need to bring your own pillows, bedding and towels, and you’ll need to use the park’s facilities, which have underfloor heating. Wolds View is open all year round and also has an onsite cafe. It’s in a peaceful location on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, just a mile outside the historic town of Caistor, making it an ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring the region’s coast and many places of interest.
THE NORTH WEST

YORKSHIRE AND THE HUMBER
Railway cottages at Overbrook Caravan Park, North Yorkshire
Many touring Overbrook Caravan Park guests like to bring family members with them to stay at the Overbrook holiday cottages.There are four delightful self-contained cottages in what was formerly the Thornton-le-Dale railway station. They cannot take pets, only guide dogs. The cottages are a level half-mile from the tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and shops in the local village. There are also regular bus services to York, Helmsley, Scarborough and Whitby. Decorated to a very high standard, the cottages are complete with smart TVs, modern ensuite bathrooms, a luxury welcome pack, all your towels and bed linen, heating and a home-from-home feeling.
