Tranquil Parks win Top Awards for 2018

CCM-show-Feb18-StandPlus NEC prize draw winners announced and dates for your diary…

It was great to meet so many people at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham in February. We especially enjoyed meeting those loyal Tranquil Parks fans looking for our 2018 brochures.
And for those that hadn’t heard of Tranquil Parks, the idea of parks just for adults was very popular!
We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand, particularly if you took part in our prize draw to win a three-night stay in one of our parks.
We’re very pleased to announce our prize draw winners as follows:

  • P Boltz – South Wales Caravan Park
  • P Duncumb – York Caravan Park
  • M Chick – Bath Chew Valley
  • C Rushton – Overbrook Caravan Park (North Yorkshire)
  • R Blackwell – Back of Beyond (Dorset)
  • V Yuen-Roberts – Somers Wood (Warwickshire)
  • S Hannigan – The Old Oaks (Somerset)

Congratulations! You are all lucky winners of a 3 night stay (subject to availability and parks own terms and conditions) during 2018.
We’ll definitely be back at the NEC next year and hope to see you there. Save the date: 19-24 February 2019!

Tranquil Parks members win major awards

While we were at the NEC show, the AA presented its Campsites of the Year Awards. We’re delighted that members of Tranquil Parks won top awards:

  • The Old Oaks Touring Park near Glastonbury in Somerset was named Overall Winner and AA Campsite of the Year 2018 for England.
  • The Red Kite Touring Park (Powys) was awarded AA Campsite of the Year 2018 for Wales, and
  • Wheathill Touring park (Shropshire) won the title ‘Most Improved Campsite 2018’
  • Back of Beyond (Dorset) was awarded AA 4 Star Gold

Other awards for 2018 go to Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park, who scooped Best Adults Only Park for an impressive ninth year in a row in the Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome Top 100 awards. And that’s not all, Bath Chew Valley is also readers’ favourite for the Best Open all Year Park, for the eighth year running. In addition, Bath Chew Valley was voted the best touring park in the counties of Somerset, Avon and Wiltshire for the tenth year on the trot.
Congratulations to all the winners!
