St Nicholas’ Fayre spreads light and glad tidings across York from 17 November as the city switches on its beautiful Christmas illuminations. 100’s of brightly decorated wooden chalets line streets around Parliament Square, St Sampson’s Square and the Judge’s Lodging. Every chalet is there to tempt visitors with Christmas gifts and tasty seasonal treats up to
23 December. Coppergate Market and ‘The Shambles’ make a wondrous sight all decorated for Christmas shopping.
York’s Ice Trail will guide you around the city with life size ice sculptures on December 10 and 11, while a ‘Winter Wonderland’ descends on York’s Designer Outlet at Fulford from 19 November until 2 January. Its ‘Ice Factor’ fair features a vintage funfair and North Yorkshire’s largest outdoor ice skating rink, all around a giant Christmas tree.   howardxmas
